A leading and highly diversified South African organisation is looking for an experienced IT Project Management Office Lead to take ownership of a complex IT portfolio and drive the successful delivery of strategic, high-impact technology programmes. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished IT Programme / Portfolio Management professional who thrives in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment and understands how to translate business strategy into a prioritised, value-driven technology portfolio. You will operate at the intersection of IT strategy, programme governance, project delivery, business operations and executive stakeholder management , providing the leadership and structure required to deliver multiple large-scale initiatives within agreed scope, time, cost and quality parameters . Key Requirements: IT or Business-related Honours degree. Minimum 5 years' programme management experience . Proven experience managing complex, large-scale IT programmes and portfolios . Strong understanding of IT project delivery methodologies and IT systems . PMP certification. Agile Practitioner certification. Demonstrable experience in portfolio prioritisation, programme governance, risk management and financial control. Strong stakeholder engagement and executive reporting capability. Your profile should demonstrate: Enterprise-level IT Portfolio Management experience. Strong PMO governance and programme delivery capability. Experience managing multiple projects, disciplines and stakeholders simultaneously. Excellent commercial and business acumen . Strong understanding of scope, schedule, budget, resources, dependencies and critical-path management . The ability to operate confidently with senior executives and business leaders. A results-driven approach with the ability to bring structure to complex environments. Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for establishing, managing and executing the IT project portfolio in alignment with business-unit strategies, business plans and broader IT and Operational Technology (OT) strategy . The role requires someone who can see the bigger picture while maintaining control of the detail — from portfolio prioritisation and investment decisions through to programme execution, risk management, financial governance and transition into operations.
