Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting Manage the full accounting function across operational business units. Prepare monthly management accounts, journals, and financial reports. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Maintain accurate financial records and reporting schedules. Creditors & Working Capital Management Oversee accounts payable processes and supplier reconciliations. Review creditor balances and ensure timely settlement of supplier obligations. Assist with working capital management and cash flow optimisation. Monitor payment processes and strengthen related controls. Tax & Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and statutory tax requirements. Prepare and review tax submissions and supporting schedules. Maintain compliance with Gaming Board regulations and internal policies. Support regulatory reporting requirements and governance initiatives. Cost Control & Financial Analysis Analyse operational expenditure and identify opportunities for cost savings. Monitor business performance and profitability trends. Assist management in evaluating financial performance and operational efficiency. Provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making. Audit, Controls & Governance Coordinate internal and external audit requirements. Maintain strong financial controls and governance processes. Prepare audit schedules and resolve audit queries efficiently. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company procedures. Business Partnering Work closely with operational managers to improve business performance. Support financial decision-making through analysis and reporting. Assist with ad hoc projects and commercial initiatives. Contribute to process improvements within the finance function. Requirements Qualifications CA(SA) qualification is essential. Experience Minimum 1 year's post-articles commercial experience. Strong experience in financial reporting and accounting processes. Exposure to VAT, tax compliance, and statutory reporting. Experience overseeing creditors and supplier reconciliations. Understanding of internal controls, risk management, and audit processes. Technical Skills Strong financial reporting and accounting knowledge. Sound understanding of tax and compliance requirements. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical and commercial finance capabilities. Ability to interpret financial information and provide actionable insights.
