A highly respected international organisation is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to join its finance team in Johannesburg North. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and review P&L reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and integrity. Manage and reconcile payroll-related accounts and transactions. Review and approve payments in accordance with internal controls and governance requirements. Support the implementation and integration of new financial and business systems. Manage IFRS 16 accounting requirements and reporting processes. Monitor and analyse credit-risk activities and provide meaningful financial insights. Deliver accurate financial reporting to support business objectives and decision-making. Drive continuous improvements across financial processes, controls, and reporting systems. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve complex accounting and financial matters. Support strategic projects and provide ad hoc financial analysis to management Job Experience and Skills Required: BCom Accounting, Finance, or equivalent financial qualification. CGMA/CIMA qualification will be highly advantageous. Minimum 5 years' relevant finance and accounting experience. Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise. Proven experience with P&L and payroll reconciliations. Solid understanding and practical application of IFRS 16. Exposure to credit risk, credit control, or financial risk management would be advantageous. Experience with CRM implementation or financial systems projects is beneficial. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of operating effectively at a senior level. Apply now!
