A well-established and highly regarded organisation within the hospitality industry is seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to join its finance team in the Helderberg area. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports and provide finance administration support. Compile and manage payroll and HR-related reporting requirements. Supervise and develop finance staff, ensuring efficient workflow management. Perform costing activities and provide financial insights to support operational decision-making. Manage customer and operational refunds in accordance with company policies. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity. Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliation processes. Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and procedures. Work closely with operational teams to resolve financial queries and improve processes. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department Job Experience and Skills Required: BCom Finance, Accounting, or a related financial qualification. Previous experience in a finance or accounting environment is essential. Hospitality industry experience will be highly advantageous. Proven experience in financial reporting and finance administration. Previous staff management or supervisory experience. Strong costing and accounts management experience. SAP experience is essential. Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills. Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
