FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT Cape Town CBD Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their Cape Town-based group. The group’s core activities include property rentals and investments in listed shares. This is a hands-on accounting role suited to a candidate with a strong technical accounting background who is comfortable taking ownership of the full accounting function. RESPONSIBILITIES: Capturing creditors' invoices Issuing rental and services-rendered invoices Processing and capturing journals Reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable Preparing and submitting VAT returns Calculating and reconciling interest received and interest payable Calculating and reconciling dividends received and dividends payable Capturing and processing bank payments Performing bank reconciliations Preparing weekly and monthly management accounts Preparing detailed annual budget forecasts Ensuring the timely completion of the annual audit Implementing and maintaining effective accounting controls REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Accounting or a related field Completed articles with an auditing / accounting firm would be highly advantageous Strong technical accounting knowledge Excellent attention to detail and accuracy TO APPLY: If you're interested in this opportunity, please: Apply online at https://talentsupport.co.za or Click on the "Apply" button We thank all applicants for their interest.
