Company and Job Description A well-established organisation based in Sandton is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This role offers broad exposure across the accounting function and will suit a hands-on finance professional who enjoys being involved in both strategic and operational finance activities. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing audits, maintaining compliance, and supporting junior team members while driving financial best practices across the business. Key Responsibilities Manage the full finance function Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports Lead month-end and year-end reporting processes Coordinate internal and external audit activities Maintain the general ledger and accounting records Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legislation Monitor financial controls and identify process improvements Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Support and mentor junior finance staff Provide financial insights and recommendations to management Assist with statutory and tax-related requirements Job Experience and Skills Required Qualification: BCom Accounting, Finance or related qualification National Diploma will be considered Completed articles highly advantageous Experience: Minimum 6 years' relevant finance experience Full finance function experience essential Auditing experience required Previous staff management or supervisory experience Commercial industry experience preferred Technical Skills: Financial reporting Audit preparation and coordination General ledger management Reconciliations Budgeting and forecasting Financial controls Advanced Microsoft Excel The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Detail-oriented and highly accurate Strong technically Confident in dealing with auditors Proactive and solutions-driven Able to manage deadlines effectively Comfortable leading and mentoring others Reliable and accountable Why Consider This Opportunity?
