Durban, KZN Civil & Electrical Infrastructure | Utilities | Property Development | Precinct Operations A hands-on technical role in a progressive property and precinct environment Excellent opportunity for a qualified Built Environment professional with 3 years relevant experience to take ownership of infrastructure and day-to-day technical operations within a large-scale property environment. This is not a desk-bound role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being on-site and close to the action – solving problems, coordinating contractors and developers, keeping essential infrastructure performing and ensuring new development integrates effectively with existing services. The role combines civil and electrical infrastructure, utilities, asset management, precinct operations and property development , offering the opportunity to have a real impact on both day-to-day operations and future growth. THE ROLE Oversee the operation, maintenance and performance of civil and electrical infrastructure, utilities, roads, telecommunications, metering and associated public realm assets Manage utility applications, connections and handovers for new developments Coordinate construction activities, ensuring existing services and infrastructure are identified and protected Act as a key technical liaison with developers, contractors, consultants and service providers Oversee the maintenance and performance of the public environment, including roads, sidewalks, landscaping, open spaces, cleaning and associated security systems Lead the Operations & Maintenance team and manage contractors and service providers against agreed SLAs Develop and implement proactive asset management, preventative maintenance and infrastructure renewal programmes Manage budgets, costs, performance reporting and stakeholder coordination Proactively identify infrastructure risks and ensure technical and operational issues are effectively resolved WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Property / Facilities Management or a related Built Environment discipline Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in utility management, civil infrastructure design and/or construction, infrastructure maintenance or large-scale precinct / estate management Strong practical knowledge of civil and electrical infrastructure Proven experience or exposure to land development processes Experience working with developers, contractors, consultants and technical service providers Demonstrated success leading technical operations and maintenance teams Ability to effectively manage contractors, suppliers and SLAs Sound financial and budgeting capability Strong planning, coordination, problem-solving and execution skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability Valid driver's licence Comfortable working predominantly on-site YOU'LL SUIT THIS ROLE IF...
