Commercial Project Manager | Up to R 1 050 000.00 | South Africa or Morocco A leading global energy technology organisation is looking for a Commercial Project Manager to join its Steam Turbines & Generators business. This is not your traditional finance role. You’ll sit at the heart of complex, international energy projects — partnering with Project Managers, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Procurement, customers and subcontractors to ensure projects are commercially sound, financially controlled and successfully delivered. 🔥 WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR 💰 Commercial & Financial Management Own the commercial and financial performance of assigned projects. Manage budgets, forecasts, costs, revenue and margins. Act as the key commercial counterpart to the Project Manager under the "4-Eye Principle." Ensure financial targets and governance requirements are met. 📈 Project Controlling Drive budgeting, forecasting and cost control. Monitor project performance and identify financial deviations. Analyse profitability, margins and project financial performance. Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasts to management. 💵 Invoicing & Cash Flow Manage project invoicing against contractual milestones. Monitor cash flow, collections and billing. Identify and proactively resolve potential cash flow risks. 🔄 Change, Claims & Margin Management Evaluate project scope changes and their impact on cost, revenue, schedule and profitability . Manage variations, claims and change orders. Protect project margins and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance. ⚠️ Risk & Opportunity Management Identify commercial, contractual and financial risks. Develop mitigation strategies. Identify and maximise commercial opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. 📑 Contracts & Commercial Governance Manage contractual commitments and obligations. Support contract interpretation and implementation. Work with Legal and Project teams on claims, variations and change orders. Maintain accurate contractual and commercial documentation. 🤝 Procurement & Subcontracting Support purchasing and subcontracting activities for onshore projects. Ensure commercially sound supplier and subcontractor agreements. Monitor subcontractor commercial performance and contractual obligations. 🌍 Stakeholder Management Work with Project Managers, customers, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Engineering and subcontractors. Become a trusted commercial advisor to the project team. Support commercial negotiations and maintain strong customer relationships. 🎯 WHAT YOU NEED ✔️ BCom Accounting / Finance ✔️ 5+ years' experience in Commercial Project Management, Project Controlling, Project Finance or a related field ✔️ French SPEAKING IS A MUST ✔️ Strong budgeting & forecasting experience ✔️ Project cost control and financial reporting ✔️ Invoicing & cash flow management ✔️ Contract management, claims & variations ✔️ Change management ✔️ Risk & opportunity management ✔️ Project scoping and commercial governance ✔️ Procurement & subcontracting exposure ✔️ Strong stakeholder management skills If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
