TEMPORARY BOOKKEEPER Location: Port Elizabeth / Gqeberha / Contract Type: Temporary Assignment Start Date: Immediate Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Temporary Bookkeeper to provide bookkeeping and financial administration support for a temporary assignment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day financial administration, bookkeeping functions, reconciliations, invoicing, payroll support, and general accounting administration. This position would suit a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who is able to work independently, maintain accurate financial records, and adapt quickly to the client's systems and requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration. Process and capture invoices and financial transactions. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable. Manage debtors and creditors administration. Perform bank allocations and bank reconciliations. Reconcile supplier and customer accounts. Assist with customer statements and payment follow-ups. Process and assist with payroll administration where required. Assist with statutory submissions and SARS-related administration. Assist with VAT and EMP201/EMP501 submissions where required. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Assist with general administrative duties related to the finance function. Provide support with financial reporting and month-end administration. Ensure all financial information is captured accurately and timeously. Work independently and meet deadlines. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric. Relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience. Previous experience in a bookkeeping or financial administration role. Experience with invoicing, reconciliations, debtors and creditors. Experience with payroll will be advantageous. Experience with Sage, Pastel or similar accounting software. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
