Our client, a specialized medical practice located in the Somerset West / Stellenbosch area, is currently seeking an experienced candidate who has worked within an Opthalmology practice. Requirements: Previous work experience within an opthalmology practice Reliable and high work ethic Able to work under pressure Nursing skills beneficial Willing to work as part of a team Duties will include, but not be limited to: Provide patient education based on the diagnosis and treatment plan. Ordering lenses and medical supplies Perform comprehensive eye examination and vision tests according to patient needs and history, and type reports and send to service providers Assist with in-room procedures Following the necessary protocol and ensuring equipment is sterile and cleanliness of the practice is adhered to Arranging, compiling and communicating the theatre schedule/list to service providers (Hospital Theatre/Day Clinic/Anaesthetists) and with the patients Willing to work as part of a team Knowledge of PMB submissions would be beneficial as the candidate will be submitting PMB applications Knowledge of compiling referral letters/reports would be beneficial as the candidate will be compiling letters/reports Office Hours: Monday to Friday: 07h30 – 17h00 In return, a highly competitive salary is on offer
