Join a growing organisation where you'll work closely with the Financial Manager and gain valuable exposure across Accounts Payable, reconciliations, General Ledger, intercompany accounting and month-end processes. A growing organisation based in Irene, Centurion is looking for a hands-on Bookkeeper to join its finance team and provide key transactional finance and bookkeeping support across two entities. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the possibility of renewal for up to a further 18 months , making it an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to secure a role with potential for an extended engagement while gaining valuable experience within a busy and growing business. Duties & Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day Accounts Payable process Capture, process and accurately allocate high volumes of supplier invoices Reconcile supplier statements and prepare payment schedules Assist with payment preparation and banking processes Capture and reconcile daily DHL transactions and related payments Prepare General Ledger, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations Investigate and resolve supplier and internal finance queries Provide bookkeeping and transactional finance support across two entities Assist with month-end processing and financial reporting Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Provide supporting documentation for audits, tax and compliance requirements Assist with ad hoc finance projects and duties as required Qualifications & Skills: Minimum 4 years’ relevant bookkeeping or transactional finance experience Strong hands-on Xero experience essential Proven Accounts Payable experience Strong reconciliation and General Ledger knowledge Excellent accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment Strong organisational and time-management skills Manufacturing or inventory-based environment experience advantageous SAD500/customs-related accounting experience advantageous Multi-entity and intercompany accounting exposure advantageous If you're an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a hands-on opportunity with strong exposure, a dynamic finance environment and the potential for an extended contract , this could be the career move for you.
