About this role
Move beyond core accounting in a high-visibility group finance seat, driving multi-entity reporting, board-level slide decks, cash flow models, and strategic forecasting for a dynamic head-office team. A fast-paced, multi-entity head-office group is seeking a commercially sharp, technically elite Chartered Accountant CA(SA) with approximately 2 years of post-articles experience to step into the role of Group Accountant. This position is custom-built for an ambitious corporate finance professional who excels at turning complex financial data into concise, strategic narrative packs for executive leadership and board decision-making. Operating at the strategic core of central finance, you will hold direct accountability for group management reporting, multi-entity consolidations, cash flow visibility, and rolling forecast models. The corporate work environment is dynamic, high-governance, and deadline-driven, offering direct engagement with senior executives and broad exposure across commercial operations. If you are a resilient, hands-on CA(SA) looking to transition from traditional accounting into executive decision support, this head-office group provides an exceptional growth platform. Key Responsibilities: Group Reporting & Consolidations: Compile, analyze, and review monthly management account packs, assisting with group multi-entity consolidations, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis. Executive & Board Presentation Packs: Design and construct polished executive reporting decks, financial slide presentations, and commercial commentary for senior management and board meetings. Treasury & Cash Flow Management: Oversee payment approvals, monitor working capital drivers, manage treasury visibility, and build cash flow forecasts to mitigate liquidity risks. FP&A, Budgeting & Scenario Modeling: Support multi-entity budgeting frameworks, rolling forecasts, and scenario modeling to drive commercial strategy and operational clarity. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Engagement: Partner closely with divisional heads and finance teams to analyze key operational movements, evaluate business drivers, and deliver ad hoc analytical insights. Job Experience and Skills Required: Professional Qualification (Non-Negotiable): Active professional designation as a Chartered Accountant CA(SA) is an absolute prerequisite. Post-Articles Track Record: Approximately 2 years of reference-backed post-articles commercial finance experience (or strong post-articles group accounting exposure). Technical & Commercial Capabilities: Demonstrated exposure to multi-entity group finance, statutory reporting, audit, or multi-branch commercial environments. Proven capability in designing board-level slide decks, financial reporting packs, and executive commentaries. Systems & Digital Mastery: Advanced operational command of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools. Non-negotiables: Elite analytical capabilities, exceptional numerical precision, high resilience, and the polished communication confidence required to interface directly with senior executives. What is on offer (Why Apply): Secure a high-visibility head-office seat working directly alongside senior finance leadership. Broad operational exposure spanning multi-entity group consolidations, treasury oversight, and executive board-level reporting.
