Assembly Fitter (Heavy Equipment & Mobile Plants) Area: East Rand, Johannesburg Salary: R30,000 - R50,000 per month (CTC), negotiable based on qualifications and experience Our client, a leading company in the mobile crushing, screening, and material-handling equipment sector, is seeking a skilled Assembly Fitter to join their workshop team in Johannesburg, East Rand. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and quality-focused assembly of machines and sub-assemblies across the company's range of equipment. Key Responsibilities: Assemble machines, components, and sub-assemblies according to approved assembly instructions and specifications Read and interpret assembly drawings and technical documentation Install hydraulic circuits by accurately interpreting and working from hydraulic diagrams Identify and report non-conforming components or completed work to the Team Leader for corrective action Ensure all assembly work meets the required quality and workmanship standards Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment within the workshop Assist with general workshop duties when required Provide practical solutions to technical and assembly-related challenges Work overtime when required to meet operational demands Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and departmental requirements Ensure that all Health and Safety regulations and procedures are consistently followed Comply with all company policies, procedures, and operational requirements Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment Take responsibility for the safe and correct execution of all assigned work Requirements: Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar assembly or fitting environment OEM Fitting experience Qualified Fitter with recognised trade certification / trade papers Matric (Grade 12) Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings Ability to read and interpret hydraulic diagrams Strong mechanical and assembly skills Previous experience working with conveyors, crushers, screens, or similar heavy equipment will be advantageous Good problem-solving and fault-finding abilities Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Good organisational and planning skills Results-driven, reliable, and accountable Perseverance and a practical, solutions-focused approach If you do not receive feedback in 5 days, please consider your application as unsuccessful 078 619 0724
