Take the Next Step in Your Bookkeeping Career! A well-established and growing organisation based in Sandton is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join its finance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working across multiple entities and wants to gain broad exposure across bookkeeping, payroll, statutory compliance and financial reporting. You will work closely with the finance team while having the opportunity to take on greater responsibility and develop your career over the long term. Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping Manage the full bookkeeping function up to Trial Balance. Process and reconcile bank accounts. Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations. Process journals and assist with month-end activities. Assist with the preparation of management accounts. Payroll Process monthly payroll using Sage Payroll. Maintain accurate employee payroll records. Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in line with relevant legislation. Statutory Compliance Prepare and submit VAT returns. Prepare and submit EMP201 returns. Manage SARS eFiling and related submissions. Assist with statutory and compliance requirements. General Finance Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc finance activities. Liaise with management and external service providers. Provide finance support across multiple companies and entities. Job Experience and Skills Required: Bookkeeping Certificate or equivalent qualification. 3 - 5 years' bookkeeping experience. Experience working within a multi-company or SME environment. Practical experience using Pastel Accounting (essential). Sage Payroll experience. SARS eFiling experience, including VAT and EMP submissions. Experience assisting with the preparation of management accounts. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities. Apply now!
