JUNIOR ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – SECTIONAL TITLE LITIGATION Location: Pretoria Salary: R12,500 – R25,000 CTC, depending on experience A well-established legal practice is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney with practical experience in sectional-title litigation and dispute resolution to join their team. This is a specialised opportunity for an admitted attorney with approximately 1–4 years' post-admission experience who has a strong working knowledge of sectional-title legislation and practical experience handling related disputes. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS LLB degree Admitted Attorney Approximately 1–4 years' post-admission experience Practical experience in sectional-title litigation/dispute resolution is essential Sound working knowledge of the Sectional Titles Schemes Management Act (STSMA) and its Regulations Practical CSOS experience Strong legal drafting and research skills High Court and/or Magistrates' Court litigation experience will be advantageous Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage matters independently and meet deadlines KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will deal with: Sectional title, body corporate and trustee disputes CSOS matters Levy and arrears-related disputes Disputes between owners, trustees and/or managing agents Interpretation and enforcement of management and conduct rules Applications and other litigation proceedings arising from sectional-title disputes Drafting pleadings, notices, correspondence and legal opinions High Court and Magistrates' Court litigation where applicable Legal research and providing advice on sectional-title matters Advising clients on their rights, obligations and available legal remedies Managing litigation files and ensuring matters progress efficiently IMPORTANT This is a litigation-focused sectional-title position.
