A leading manufacturing business is looking for a commercially minded Cost Accountant who thrives on uncovering efficiencies, optimizing costs, and driving business performance. This is more than a traditional accounting role. You'll be a key player in helping management make strategic decisions through insightful costing analysis, budgeting, inventory management, and profitability reporting. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate product costing and cost models. Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and inventory movements. Monitor production efficiencies and identify cost-saving opportunities. Perform inventory reconciliations and stock valuations. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Prepare detailed cost analysis reports for management decision-making. Partner with operational teams to improve financial performance and cost controls. Support month-end reporting and management accounts. Minimum Requirements: BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost & Management Accounting, or related qualification. 3–5 years' experience in a Cost Accounting role within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of inventory management, BOMs, standard costing, and variance analysis. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Ready to take the next step?
